About Me
In college I majored in philosophy. Owing to the dismal job prospects in academic philosophy, I decided to learn how to program. I worked in software for six years before deciding to pursue a new career in medicine. My primary motivation was a desire to spend my time working on something more meaningful and to hopefully make a positive difference in people's lives. That said, I do still enjoy the occasional return to programming. This website is one of the hobby projects that allows me to maintain that connection to my previous career.
